Gueréza pláštiková
Guerézy sú nápadne sfarbené opice žijúce výlučne v Afrike. Všetky druhy gueréz sú silne viazané na život na stromoch, veľmi dobre skáču a chvost používajú na udržiavanie rovnováhy. Osobitný je ich spôsob výživy, pretože konzumujú listy, puky a výhonky. Pre strávenie takejto špeciálnej potravy majú vytvorený viacdielny žalúdok podobný na žalúdok prežúvavcov. Gueréza pláštiková sa vyskytuje v strednej a východnej Afrike, kde vytvára niekoľko poddruhov. Charakterizuje ju biela koncová časť chvosta a dlhá srsť na ramenách, bokoch a dolnej časti chrbta (tzv. „plášť”). Pláštik dlhej srsti slúži ako ochrana pred intenzívnymi dažďami a tepelná izolácia v pomerne chladných klimatických podmienkach horských lesov. Mláďatá sú prvé tri mesiace života snehobielo sfarbené. Guerézy boli po stáročia prenasledované pre krásne kožušiny a niektoré populácie sú preto na pokraji vyhynutia. Druh je zaradený do zoznamu CITES (príloha II). Európsku plemennú knihu ESB vedie ZOO Paignton v Anglicku.
